Eric first attended FWIC after his wife, Cindy, and brother, David, invited him. The transformation from who he was then to what God is doing in him now is truly remarkable. Eric first served by cleaning the bathrooms and vacuuming the church on Tuesday mornings. Eric also serves within the Music, TV and IT Ministries and is responsible for “all things technical”.

When not serving at FWIC Eric enjoys, being at home with his wife, Cindy, and their four dogs; three Boston Terriers & one Boxer. He enjoys Sci-Fi movies and TV shows as well as writting as a published blogger.

Eric says, “God has truly done so many things in my life that I look at it and I almost can’t believe it’s happened or is happening. I know I shouldn’t be surprised because throughout His word He has always been faithful to His people. Its just that I can so easily remember who I was before God and that thought alone reminds me just how amazing God really is."

Yiota ,cousin of Pastor Gus, has been with the ministry since it's inception back in the mid-90s and has been faithful to help out wherever needed. Yiota was born in Chicago Illinois and has been in the valley now for the majority of her life. She is an ASU graduate with her Masters Degree in Education & Curriculum. She continues to work full-time and serve not only as the Children's Director here at FWIC but also helps out in the Music Ministry and Multimedia Department. She enjoys the challenges of the ministry and truly believes that we must train up our children using Biblical standards today now more than ever.

When she is not serving at FWIC she enjoys reading, shopping, watching movies & TV shows as well as spending time with her friends and family.

Ian and his family have been attending FWIC for nearly 3 years now after meeting and having a conversation with Pastor Gus in line at the local Wal-Mart. Ian & his wife, Ashley, have been married since 2006 and have three children, Isaiah, Haylie and Isaac.

God has done many miraculous things in Ian’s life; one area specifically includes being delivered from alcohol & drug abuse. Ian has now been clean and sober for well over three years and counting. Ian is also an accomplished Christian Rap Artists and one of the founding members of the local Christian Rap Crew known as “The Voice”.

Ian volunteers as one of the two Sound Technicians at FWIC and also helps within the Music Ministry. God has also given him the opportunity to travel around the valley sharing the good news of Jesus through Christian Rap Music.

Margaret was born in Trinidad (West Indies) and has been living in Arizona now for nearly 30 years. She has been attending FWIC for over 12 years and has been doing so after being invited by a friend. Margaret has been a Christian for as far back as she can recall and enjoys sharing her faith with others.

She has recently been given the opportuninty to invite and bring a family to FWIC and show the love of Christ to them. When she is not serving at FWIC she enjoys cooking, trying new recipes, reading, hiking and help lead others to Jesus.

Ira has been attending FWIC now for nearly a decade and has been one of the most reliable and dependable volunteers at the church. He first came to the church after being invited by someone and has been attending faithfully ever since.

Ira told us, “God was gracious and saved my soul and my life. When I didn’t want to go on living and had nowhere to go one Christmas Eve; God made a way. I was convinced if I didn’t have somewhere to be at that time I would just end it. I didn’t have a plan; I was just so despondent, that answer to prayer was a huge part of me placing my trust in Christ.

Ira has two children, and he enjoys photography, playing keyboard and writing songs when he is not serving at FWIC.
